Predictive Index assessments
Every applicant for Aerial Survey Pilot (Line Pilot) completes two short assessments from The Predictive Index (PI). Your application is not complete until both are done, and we review applications once both are in.
Step 1: Behavioral Assessment
- About 6 minutes. It is a list of descriptive words, not a test: there are no right or wrong answers, so answer the way you naturally are at work. Use your own judgment and skip any word you do not understand.
- There is no time limit. Take it somewhere quiet and give it your full attention.
- You take it during your application. Use the same name and email you use on the application so we can match it.
- Already took it for Sol or another employer that uses PI? Say so in the application and tell us the name and email you used. If you have not completed the Cognitive Assessment for Sol, email us and we will help.
Step 2: Cognitive Assessment
- The Predictive Index sends this one to you. After you finish the Behavioral Assessment, PI emails the Cognitive Assessment invitation to the email address you used for the assessment, so use the same email address as on your application.
- It is 12 minutes and timed, so start when you can complete it without interruption. It has verbal, numerical and abstract-reasoning questions. It is not a measure of intelligence, education or experience; it looks at how quickly you pick up and work with new information.
- Read the instructions carefully and use your own judgment. You normally get one attempt.
- The invitation comes from The Predictive Index, not from Sol, and invitations expire after a few days. Add their address to your safe senders list so it does not land in spam.
- You must complete it for your application to be reviewed. Please finish it soon after it arrives.
- Do not see the email? Check your spam and promotions folders, then email pilot.recruitment@solaerialsurveys.com and we will help.

What happens next
Once we have your application and both assessments, our team reviews it and, if it is a fit, schedules a phone interview. You can follow your application with the status link in your confirmation email.
